[I wrote this post a month ago, but it took me a while to do the pictures and fix it up. I'm catching up now, though!]

I have returned to watching some Thriller installments (a 1970s ITC/ATV film anthology created and frequently written by Brian Clemens, of The Avengers and Professionals fame. It's not like The Avengers, though. Brian Clemens has clearly forgotten the possibility that sometimes women can sort stuff out themselves without being rescued by men. If they're rescued at all, this being a thriller anthology.)

Anyway, do you want to hear all about how innocent American tourists were terrorised every time they came to Britain in the 1970s? Surely, you must. I will oblige, by reviewing my viewing so far, before I forget. (This is a 16-disc set!)

Cut for recaps, spoilers, flippancy and picspam )

I would like to apologize formally for dropping the ball on this community. These last couple of weeks have been a garbage fire, but it's still on me, and I will do my very best not to let that happen again. Let's get me back on the rails and start our fall art movement!

Cubism

Set yourself a goal that you think you can complete between today, September 20th, and December 1st. This can be a number of colors completed, a certain palette, a number of styles or supplies used, a word count, a combination of these-- anything that you regard as a challenge. Comment on this post with your goal.

On December 1st, one of the mods will put up a post where you can comment reiterating your goal and whether or not you completed it. If you complete your goal, you get twenty Novelty Beads prompts, with an additional five prompt for every quarter to third you go over your goal, at the mods' discretion.

Goal-setting runs from today, September 20th, to October 15th. The challenge runs from today to December 1st. We will have an Amnesty Week immediately after as usual.

Set your goals in this post, and happy writing!

FIC STUFF

I wrote The brand upon his soul as a gift for [personal profile] plaid_slytherin  during Soul Exchange. It's a 3700 word bit of Les Miserables fic in which Valjean and Javert form a soul bond when Valjean is branded at Toulon.

I feel like it's got a bit of a life of his own! It's not like it has masses of comments, but someone made a Chinese translation and when I signed up for Remix Madness, someone made a remix, too!

Branded (The Is He From Heaven Or From Hell Remix) by Anonymous

Please go read it, it's so good. It retells the story from Valjean's perspective, with the same kind of painful feelings about the soulbond as I gave Javert in my fic, but that feeds into Valjean's encounter with the bishop and the way his path has changed in the most perfect way.
