Dullness, greyness, and rain. And dark nights again. I feel as if I'm going into hibernation, which is strange because it's still August, and I register August as summer. But that hasn't stopped me from feeling as though everything has shut down except for the part of my brain that likes to watch shows with explosions in them.
Nevertheless I can feel that slow slide toward cold air, NaNo, write-ins (coffeeshops or Trafalgar Square?), and the unfortunate side effect of adding another year to my age. Which I still haven't managed to find a way around.
Possibly good news! I found this place and it's super close to where I am. Literally just over the railway tracks. Going to see if i can make it there this Friday and see how things go. I hope it'll be cool, I've already emailed the organiser and she seems nice.
Oh yeah and I found a drive full of ancient art of mine (oh man, to think I used to think I could draw back then.. I only really learnt to draw in the last few years) and possibly more relevant to current interests: some old site layouts. It's exciting! Some are dreadful, some are... not that bad. That's what I mean when I say I miss the art of layouts.
Also met the sweetest kitty on Saturday. He was out with a group of fundraisers and he had no eyes (Dhaymin kitty!) because he was born without them, but he was the most laid back cat ever and happy to let anyone fuss him. Besides that one I saw on the Brighton beachfront who apparently lived in one of the galleries and was happily lounging around in front of a giant crowd of bike ride supporters, but that's Brighton for you.
