walking at night
Feb. 17th, 2015 08:06 amIt's starting to get lighter. Not quite at the tipping point, but I can see it.
I mean, I like the daylight as much as anyone. I feel more energetic, like I can accomplish more in the day, and now I know I have vitamin issues on top of that. But I like night too. For the last couple of months it's been dark when I get out of work. And provided the weather's clear, I love that, because it means I can cut across the park. Sure it's a bit awkward, and you have to remember where the paths are, unless you end up around a dog walker with a torch. But it's the best view of the stars you can get around here.
It's not that great, but it's pretty cool.
And I guess I just like walking around at night. Reminds me when I used to work evenings and ended up crossing town close to midnight to get home. Everything's so different, so calm, so peaceful. Also there were a lot of hedgehogs. Funny what you see sometimes when you do something different.
But yeah, I think I'm ready for some light too.
